Glinda (Galinda) Upland a female blonde who roots from the arduenas clan of Uplands ruling over the Upper Uplands (The North). She is currently the most powerful sorceress in the Land of Oz and is the protector of Princess Ozma. She is the ruler of the Quadling Country just north over the Emerald City. Glinda Upland first attended the University of Shiz with her essay about the quirks and proofs of sorcery “Magic Wands: Need they have a point.” A bright and popular girl of her own, Glinda is capable of capturing the essence of the public’s hearts by her charming and witty looks.
Behind those smiles, beneath the bubbles, and inside her mind, she is merely just a woman who has suffered much loss. She is Elphaba Thropp’s close and dearest friend. She suffers pain from the loss of her dearest friend, her love of her life, and the loneliness she absorbs. She is widowed by her husband Sir Chuffey.
Glinda herself is a strong woman who speaks for all. Fitting in a person’s shoes with green skin and is an outcast, she may be annoying and superficial but beneath those smiles and laughs she is not well accepted so she endures living by absorbing in fame and friendship. Later on, she realizes the significance of friendship itself and treasures it with her whole heart as she matures from the experiences that Elphaba gives her. Unlike many, she is that type that will fight for you with all her heart even in the darkest times. She maybe stooped down with the fame and glory but let’s face it, you would want that too won’t you? She strives to help many before she suffers more loss as she already suffers the loss of Elphaba and Fiyero and all of those that she loves. Because of that, she is, Glinda, The Good.

Elphaba Thropp. Born with green skin. The first born of Melena and Frexspar Thropp. She is quite ridiculed and scrutinized by her appearances and her odd yet exquisite abilities. Elphaba Thropp is bound down by the social view of her peers. Later in the years, she grew powerful and strong no longer fearing great power as she herself has become one. Elphaba, commonly known as the “Wicked Witch of the West” was known first for her act of transforming one of the Wizard’s monkeys into flying monkeys; creatures built with the physique of a bat’s wings and a monkey’s body. The Wizard originally asked her for her powers to give Chistory, the Wizard’s monkey, the ability to levitate. Because of the grimmerie’s mysterious and odd powers, it dubbed chistory with the ability to fly but in the most repulsive way by growing a pair of Bat’s wings. She has now then used the grimmerie’s powers to jynx a regular dust broom to fly making it her means of transportation. After months and weeks, Elphaba has been roaming around Oz undercover saving poor innocent animals from the wretched and powerless “Wizard of Oz” and his press-secretary Madame Morrible. Her victims of her latest calamities are a regular munchkin boy named Boq by making him into a tin-man person. Built with the spirit of a normal person and the body of a tin-man. Following, is Fiyero Tigular, a prince, who was being battered and killed to death by the Wizard’s soldiers. Elphaba used her powers to transform Fiyero into an impenetrable being, a scarecrow. Following is a regular lion cub that she saved when one of the Wizard’s educators was using him as a science experiment.
Elphaba Thropp, although scorned by many, is a regular girl with a regular spirit. Not evil, nor wicked, but dubbed “Wicked Witch of the West” by the people of Oz because of “Her green skin being an outward manifestorium of her twisted nature.” - Morrible’s Speech. She is a regular girl only born with green skin being an outcast in a society filled with superficial citizens.
